Are you passionate about Waterford city? Would you like to promote all our city has to offer to our visitors? Do you enjoy exploring the history and culture of Waterford? Would you like to share your enthusiasm and meet new people? Do you have 2 or 3 hours to spare on weekends during the summer months? If yes, why not become a Welcome Ambassador for our city?

As a volunteer Welcome Ambassador, you will have an insight into our local hidden gems; the special stories from times gone by; the amazing food offering especially the world famous blaa and so much more. This is your opportunity to play a very valuable role in creating a memorable experience for all of our visitors to Ireland’s oldest city. To showcase Waterford as a vibrant and welcoming destination for all who visit our cultural and heritage quarter here in The Viking Triangle.

This programme is now approaching its fifth year and has gone from strength to strength. It includes many new faces each year as well as a loyal group of volunteers who return year after year to share the magic our city has to offer. This is a collaborative project between Waterford Viking Triangle Trust, Waterford City & County Council & Waterford Area Partnership, who are very experienced in coordinating and supporting the volunteer ambassadors.
